20 awesome things to do in London with kids in November 2025

This month, check out banging fireworks displays across London, experience the last days of Pompeii, explore Wes Anderson’s vast archive, and learn how to morris dance in your own homemade costume.

  1. Head to Camden Market for Day of the Dead on the 1st. Expect a live stage programme of music and dance, a vibrant Day of the Dead parade, giant skeletons, Mexican art workshops, food and retail stalls, face painting and a traditional Day of the Dead altar. Free.
  2. Remember, remember the 5th(ish) of November. Check out London’s best fireworks at Alexandra Palace and Blackheath (1st), Battersea Park (1st-2nd), Coram’s Fields (5th), Walthamstow (5th-8th) and Harrow (8th). Paid/free.
  3. Family Takeover: Shaping Patterns will be at Camden Art Centre on the 1st, 15th and 29th. Join artist Monique Kaur Kellay for a series of workshops exploring South Asian craft techniques and processes used in textile production. Free.
  4. Barbican is screening lots of great films as part of its Family Film Club this month, with highlights including Dounia and the Princess of Aleppo (plus amulet making in the cafe) on the 8th, and Marvellous Animations for 8-15 year-olds as part of LIAF on the 30th. Paid.
  5. UNIQLO Tate Play Make Studio: Beauty will be at Tate Modern from 8th November to 11th February. Through experimenting, repeating, arranging and exploring tactile art materials, uncover techniques that lead to surprising and beautiful outcomes. Free.
  6. Grab your under-5 and head to British Museum’s Storytelling Special: Animal Tales on the 12th. Join award-winning storyteller Sandra Agard for a selection of animal tales from Africa and the Caribbean, in celebration of Camden’s Black History Season. Free.
  7. Time by Luxmuralis will be at ORNC from 12th-22nd. This immersive sound and light experience will take you on an unforgettable journey through history and science, exploring humanity’s relationship with the concept of time. Paid.
  8. The Last Days of Pompeii: The Immersive Exhibition is at Immerse LDN from 14th November to 15th March. Travel back 2,000 years with VR and cutting-edge immersive tech, see rare artefacts and replicas, and witness the eruption of Vesuvius that froze Pompeii in time. Paid.
  9. Living Large is showing at the Czech Embassy Cinema on the 16th, followed by a kids’ art workshop. Screened in Czech with English subtitles, Living Large is a laugh-out-loud animated story about friendship, music and finding the recipe for feeling great. Paid.
  10. Head to Fitzrovia Chapel on the 16th for Children of Albion Family Art Workshop: Morris Mayhem. Join artist/morris dancer Christina Rose Brown to make wearable textile artworks exploring folk symbolism before learning some steps to a traditional morris jig. Paid.
  11. Wes Anderson: The Archives runs from 21st November to 26th July, with highlights including a candy-pink model of the Grand Budapest Hotel, the vending machines from Asteroid City and the Fendi fur coat worn by Gwyneth Paltrow as Margot Tenenbaum. Paid.
  12. Evim (My Home) is heading to Grand Junction on the 22nd. This magical and interactive dance theatre performance will kids aged 1-7 twirling and whirling as the performers take them on a spellbinding journey to find a place to call home. Pay what you can.
  13. British Library is hosting Family Festival: Imaginary Worlds on the 22nd. Inspired by wondrous worlds both real and imaginary, the day will be run in partnership with Frank Barnes School for Deaf Children and include workshops from 24+ organisations. Free.
  14. Head to the William Morris Gallery on the 22nd for its Family Day with Wee Movers. Vibrant, energetic and inclusive, these sessions will include gentle stretching and warm-ups to music, stories, and lots of opportunities for children to create their own movement. Free.
  15. RIBA is running a Build Your Dream Animal Home day on the 22nd. Use paper modelling and collage techniques to construct your own piece of architecture. Which lucky animal will you choose to design a magical new house for? Free.
  16. Indie Kids’ Kids is hosting a family disco at the Phoenix in Oxford Circus on the 23rd. Expect the finest indie from Blondie and the Beatles to Kaiser Chiefs and The Killers, plus and other floor-fillers that’ll have you and the kids spinning in your gazelles. Paid.
  17. Creative Creatures Play will be popping up at the Horniman from 26th November to 14th January. This animal-inspired play space invites under-7s to weave webs, build nests, dress up and camouflage themselves, jump, climb, balance and calm down with some crafts. Paid.
  18. Head to South London Gallery on the 29th for Family Space with Emma Ogawa Todd. Play with a natural-dyed colour-wheel parachute made in a previous family workshop and make your own zig-zag journey book using handmade, natural-dyed paper. Free.
  19. Young V&A Winter Market is on 29th-30th. Enjoy two days of festive shopping featuring stalls from independent artists, designers, makers and producers all specialising in child-focused products including clothing, accessories art prints, stationery and more. Free.
  20. Head to Bow Arts on the 30th for Bow Families: Bringing your Drawings to Life with Rosie Gibbens. Draw body parts or use pre-made body parts and attach them to small clocks to create moving drawings, and engage in a highly collaborative making session. Free.
