20 awesome things to do in London with kids: March 2026

  1. Battersea Power Station is hosting a Mr Men Little Miss Takeover from 6th-8th. Step into the vibrant world of Mr Men/Little Miss through a series of interactive activities, including a treasure hunt where families can use a special map to discover familiar characters. Free.
  2. There’s loads of brilliant theatre at Half Moon this month, including Tiny Planet (5+) on the 7th, Last Unicorn Airways (4+) – featuring an immersive installation – on the 14th, Sisters 360 (8-12) from 20th-21st and Cinema Chill: Peace at Last (3-5) on the 28th. Paid.
  3. The Together Space March Family Event takes place on the 8th. The World Book Day-themed event will include cooking workshops, a collage table, weightlifting, bookswaps, a sensory space, an active play area, a soft play, an inflatable activity run and more. Paid.
  4. Head to Swiss Cottage Open Space on the 8th for The Magic of India Holi Colour Dance Festival. Expect lively dance performances including bangra and dhol troops, DJs, a dancing colour-play area with safe (washable) powder colours, indian food stalls and more. Paid.
  5. Vikings: The Immersive Experience comes to Dock X from 12th March to 31st May. Expect immersive technology, huge installations including a life-size forest, a chance to board a real Viking longship and plenty of replica artefacts. Paid.

  12. Beauty and Destruction: Wartime London in Art will be at IWM from 20th March to 1st November. Suitable for both adults and children, the exhibition will feature a ‘stamper’ trail and activity sheet that encourages children to engage with the artworks. Free.
  13. The Lindt Gold Bunny Hunt returns to Hampton Court Palace from 21st March to 12th April. Follow the trail, matching the names of influential characters to the Lindt gold bunny statues and collecting a mini chocolate treat when you’ve found them all. Free with paid admission.
  14. Head down to Unicorn from 22nd March to 12th April for Your Toys, a heart-warming show aimed at 5-9s. Children are invited to bring along a toy to lend for the performance and watch it come to life on stage, plus there’s 10 minutes of playtime at the end. Paid.
  15. Menagerie in The Museum – a Petting Zoo returns to the Viktor Wynd Museum on the 25th. Descend the spiral staircase to the weird and wonderful museum then meet, handle and cuddle an assortment of live ducks, reptiles, insects and maybe even something furry. Paid.
  16. Disney on Ice: Into the Magic will be at Wembley’s OVO Arena from 25th-29th. See Belle explore the Beast’s enchanted castle, experience Moana’s courage to embark on a voyage with Maui and sing-along with Miguel from Coco as he follows the music in his heart. Paid.
